Visa Information for Entry into USA

Visitors entering the United States under the Visa Waiver Program must now have machine-readable passports or must apply for a visa to enter the United States. Immigration officers will offer non-compliant travelers from 22 Visa Waiver countries a one-time exemption and entry without a visa. Border officials will take note of the exemption and, on subsequent visits, if travelers do not have a machine readable passport or a visa, they could be refused entry. Please visit the website of The National Academies for the most current, detailed information regarding traveling to the United States. http://www7.nationalacademies.org/visas/Traveling_to_US.html

If you require a special letter of invitation, please send an e-mail to sliu@esf.edu and we will send you an information form to complete.
